Workshop "Picasso: Printmaker" - Saturday 22nd February 2025 at 10am
On the occasion of the British Museum exhibition "Picasso: Printmaker", join us for a classroom-based workshop on the figure of Pablo Picasso.
Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) was one of the most inventive and influential talents ever to explore the medium of print. As well as a painter and sculptor, he was a master printmaker, working collaboratively with professional printers to push the boundaries of the medium, producing experimental and unconventional prints throughout his long career.
Through engaging activities and discussion exercises, we will explore the context, themes, and highlight objects from the British Museum show. This workshop is a fantastic preparation ahead of your visit to the exhibition.
This 1.5-hour workshop in Spanish will be held in our classrooms in Euston (Maria Fidelis School, 1-39 Drummond Crescent, NW1 1LY). The session will be led by an art historian and qualified Spanish language teacher. The level is tailored for students with at least an A2 level of Spanish (equivalent to our Continuacion courses).
After the workshop, you can optionally visit the exhibition with the workshop leader and fellow attendees. The British Museum is a short 10-15 minute walk from the classroom. If you wish to visit the exhibition with the group, please book your own ticket here and choose the entry time 12pm for Saturday 23rd November.
