Discover the joyful work of Argentinian-born Julio Le Parc, a leading figure in contemporary art.

To prepare for the exciting Tate Modern exhibition on Julio Le Parc, join us for a dynamic classroom workshop! Le Parc is a master of art that moves and tricks the eye. He pioneered the idea of the viewer becoming an active part of the art, using light, mirrors, and motion to create fun, surprising visual effects.

In this session, we will explore how he turned art into an experience. Through engaging, hands-on activities, we'll play with the concepts of illusion and colour, learn the history behind this "moving art" (Kinetic Art), and discuss Le Parc’s belief that art should be for everyone and should bring joy. This preparation will ensure you are ready to fully jump into the dazzling, dynamic world of his work during your gallery visit.

This 2-hour workshop in Spanish will be held in our classrooms in Clapham (4 Scout Lane, SW4 0LA), a short walk from Clapham Common tube station. The session will be led by an art historian and qualified Spanish language teacher. The level is tailored for students with at least an A2 level of Spanish (equivalent to our Continuacion courses).

After the workshop, you can optionally join the workshop leader and fellow attendees to visit the exhibition. We will travel together to the Tate Modern by tube. If you wish to visit the exhibition with the group, please book your own ticket in advance and choose the entry time 1pm on Saturday 24th October 2026.
