He has both puzzled and galvanised poets, artists, and writers since his times to the present day. His dramatic style inspired avant-garde movements even centuries after his time. He broke conventions, invented new and unusual artistic interpretations, and went against the established norms. But who exactly was El Greco?

Discover the life and work of this prime example of Spanish Mannerism. In this classroom-based workshop we will use a variety of engaging activities to discuss and explore El Greco's accomplishments. Expect visual analysis, short texts, interaction and exchange of views, in a combination between an art history- and a Spanish language class.
The session will be led by art historian and qualified Spanish language teacher Maria Carmona. The level is tailored for students with at least an A2 level of Spanish (equivalent to our Continuacion courses).

Saturday 25th November from 11am to 1pm, in Clapham North Art Centre, 26-32 Voltaire Rd, London SW4 6DH.
