The Courtauld Gallery Highlights - Sunday 24th November 2024 at 11am
Discover the exceptional artworks at the Courtauld Gallery. With remarkable pieces ranging from the Middle Ages and the Italian Renaissance to the 20th century Bloomsbury Group, the Gallery is famous for its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, including iconic works by Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cézanne.
This is a welcoming, fun, and friendly discussion-based tour in which you will put your Spanish into gear. In a mix between a Spanish class and a guided art visit in Spanish, you will not only learn about art, but you will also be encouraged to be critical and express your own opinions. Absolutely no knowledge of art is required, just an inquisitive mind and an interest to learn and exchange views.
The visit will be conducted in Spanish by art historian, gallery educator, and Spanish language teacher at Spanish House London.
The language will be tailored for students with at least an A2 level of Spanish (equivalent to Spanish House London Continuacion courses and above). You will be provided with a vocabulary list in advance, so that you can familiarise yourself with the words we will use in the tour. Please let us know your level of Spanish when booking your place. Spaces are limited, please book in advance.
We will meet on Sunday 24th November 2024 at 11am in the foyer of The Courtauld Gallery (Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 0RN). Look for the Spanish House London logo. If you have any troubles finding us, please contact us on 07775 583 740. The tour will last approximately 2 hours.
