Product Details

Led by art historians and qualified Spanish language teachers, our workshops and discussion-based gallery visits are a combination between a guided art tour and a Spanish class.

In our Take a Closer Look series, we pause and observe only one or two paintings in depth, paying attention to aspects that normally go unnoticed. On Saturday 28th October we will use all your senses to explore and dissect Jan Van Eyck's Arnolfini Portrait at the National Gallery.

Expect a fun workshop of quizzes, drawing, and games, all whilst practising your Spanish. Using discussion-based exercises and working in pairs and small groups, we will unveil the secrets behind this masterpiece.

Learn vocabulary in Spanish, gain confidence articulating what you see, and discover some fascinating art.

This activity is ideal for students with at least an A2 level of Spanish (equivalent to our Continuacion courses).

Join us on Saturday 28th October from 11am to 1pm at the National Gallery (Trafalgar Sq, WC2N 5DN).
