Group Courses:

Unless otherwise agreed, students must be 18 years of age or older.

Our group courses comprise a total of 15 tuition hours. We run courses in four different formats:

  • 10-week courses, run over 10 consecutive weeks (one 1.5-hour lesson per week)
  • 5-week courses, run over 5 consecutive weeks (two 1.5-hour lessons per week)

  • Weekend-Intensive courses, run over 3 consecutive weekends (one 2-hour lesson on Fridays and one 3-hour lesson on Saturdays)

  • One-Week Intensive courses (five 3-hour lessons per week)

The fee for our online courses is £185. The fee for our in-person courses is £195.

Students who attend at least 80% of the lessons in a course will receive a certificate of completion.

Please make sure that you enrol in the correct level for you. If you are unsure of your level, take our online level assessment tests or contact us for a personal evaluation.

Before enrolling, it is possible to try the first lesson of a course provided there are spaces available on the start date of the course. Contact us on the start date of the course you are interested in and we will confirm whether there is still availability for a trial lesson. If you decide to enrol in the course after attending the first class as a trial lesson, the full fee for the course must be paid.

Spanish House London reserves the right to change the tutor during the course if considered necessary and/or to merge groups if considered necessary.

Spanish House London reserves the right to refuse admission.

Payment of fees:

The fee for our online courses is £185. The fee for our in-person courses is £195.

Enrolments made at least 30 days ahead of the start date of each course enjoy a £15 Early Bird discount. To apply the discount, you must insert the Early Bird discount code in the coupon box at checkout when completing your enrolment. The Early Bird discount codes are specified in the description of each course. Please do not forget to type the EARLY BIRD part of the code.

To enrol in a course, the full fee must be paid in advance. We do not accept payments in instalments.

The fee for a course does not include a textbook.

Cancellations:

In the unlikely event where Spanish House London has to cancel a course, we will give you as much notice as we possibly can, and we will offer an alternative group of the same level or a full refund of your payment.

No refunds can be made for cancellations made by students with less than 7 days’ notice before the start date of the course or once the course has already started.

No refunds can be made for unattended classes.

It is possible to attend missed lessons with an alternative group, provided availability. Please contact [email protected] to check when the lesson/s you have missed is/are going to be taught again. Please note that different groups progress at different rates and the contents taught in the alternative catch-up session might differ from the contents taught in the lesson you missed with your usual group.

Transfer between groups:

If the level of a course is not right for you, it is possible to move your enrolment to a different group. This transfer between groups will be done from the same lesson number you are with your current group, and provided there are spaces available from that lesson number in the group you are moving to. For instance, if you take 4 lessons with a group, you can join a different group from the 5th lesson onwards, provided there are spaces available at that stage (availability from the 5th lesson onwards).

Enrolment on hold:

If you can’t complete all the lessons in the course, you can pause your enrolment for up to 12 months from your date of booking. You must email [email protected] to request to freeze your enrolment. The enrolment will be put on hold from the date of receipt of your email for the remainder of your course. You can pause an enrolment only once.

Email [email protected] when you wish to resume your lessons and within 12 months from your date of booking. We will check which groups have spaces available and from when you can join in. You will be able to join a group from the same stage your course was when you requested to freeze your enrolment, provided the group you are joining has availability at that stage. For instance, if you requested to freeze your enrolment after the 2nd lesson of your course and before the 3rd lesson, you will be able to join a group from the 3rd lesson onwards, provided the group has spaces available at that stage. We cannot reserve a space in a future group.

Private Tuition and In-Company Training:

Private tuition must be paid in advance in blocks of 5 or 10 lessons.

Rescheduling and cancellations of lessons require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Lessons cancelled, rescheduled, or rearranged with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited.

Private lessons must be taken within a 12-month period from the date of booking. Unused private tuition is not transferrable nor refundable.

It is not possible to convert credit for untaken private lessons into payment for group courses.

Depending on the location where the private lessons are held, a travel charge may apply.
