Pilar
¡Hola! My name is Pilar.
I am a native Spanish and Galician speaker from A Coruña, a beautiful coastal city in Northwest Spain known for its stunning lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Philology, which gave me a deep understanding of the history, structure, and soul of language.
Since 2006, I have been living and teaching in London, where I obtained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialized in teaching Spanish through International House and the Instituto Cervantes.
I have an extensive background in both corporate and academic Spanish, having taught at prestigious firms in the City and Canary Wharf, including Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
Beyond the corporate world, I am highly specialized in preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level Spanish exams, where I have a proven track record of helping students achieve excellent results.
This diverse experience has made me highly adaptable; whether I am preparing a student for a high-stakes national exam or leading a business seminar, I always tailor my approach to my students’ specific goals.
I am passionate about helping students bridge the gap between grammar and real-world conversation, ensuring that every lesson is productive, engaging, and structured.
I truly enjoy being part of my students’ progress and seeing their confidence grow as they master my native tongue.
¡Nos vemos pronto en clase!
