Raquel

¡Hola! I’m Raquel.

I come from Burgos, a beautiful city in the north of Spain famous for its crisp winter air and the best morcilla (black pudding) in the country!

My journey into education began with a degree in Early Years Teaching, and after moving to London, I obtained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

I spent several years working in Montessori schools, an experience that taught me one of life’s most valuable lessons: learning should always be an adventure, fueled by curiosity and joy.

I eventually followed my passion for my own culture to Granada, where I certified as a Spanish Foreign Language (ELE) teacher.

Today, I combine my deep love for education with my native language to help adults find their own “Spanish voice.”

My Teaching Style:

I am a firm believer in the communicative approach.

For me, a classroom isn’t just a place to study grammar; it’s a social space where you should feel comfortable, supported, and—most importantly—confident enough to make mistakes!

I love seeing my students move from “theory” to real-world conversation.

“Aprender otro idioma siempre es un viaje, y el español una aventura.” (Learning another language is always a journey, and Spanish is an adventure.)

I can’t wait to meet you in class and start this adventure together!
